Do you Feel Misunderstood with Emotional PMS & PMDD?

I keep hearing my clients complain about not being understood by their family, friends and co-workers when they are going through an emotional PMS or PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) week.
I have to tell them that they are not suffering because they are misunderstood but because they THINK their loved ones, family, friends, and co-workers are supposed to understand them and their issues.
Your loved ones don’t need to understand your extreme PMS, your PMDD, nor any other difficulties you experience.
It is not going to make your life easier if they do understand.

Do you know who needs to understand you in order for you to feel better about yourself and your situation?
That is right. You are the only person who needs to understand you.
How come you expect your loved ones, family, friends, and co-workers to get you and to love you when you don’t understand and love yourself?
Let me tell you….
Even if you have people in your life who understand and love you right now, it will not matter if you don’t understand and love yourself.
They can love you all day long…. but if you don’t love yourself you will not believe them nor feel their love. You can only feel the love you have inside you. No one can give you their feelings of love and put it in your heart. That is not how humans work. We can only feel the feelings we have in our own body.
So if you are not feeling love and understanding for yourself, you will not feel the love and understanding others have for you.
This is great news. Because you can do something about this right now. You are responsible for feeling loved and understood. You have the power to feel these amazing feelings…. This is something you can do for yourself.
You don’t need to manipulate, convince, bargain with, pay or force another human being to feel these things about you. You will never get love and understanding from any outside human or source. It all comes from within you.
You are the only one who can lead the way to feeling you are loved and understood.
You can be the example of how people should treat you by treating yourself that way first.
You can love yourself exactly how you are right now. You can treat yourself respectfully, non-judgmentally and full of compassion and others will follow. I promise. This is how it works.
It is time you learn to love and understand you!
